Boogie Nights Vol 2

This mix takes me back to when I was

13 years old and was just beginning to DJ.

I use to hang out at Poor Billy’s, a New Jersey

club that use to have teen nights that

started in the afternoon with a dip in

the pool. I remember the club would be

so packed and hot that the floor would be

wet from the sweat. My brother Angelo

and my friend Felipe got an opportunity

to spin there. I was never so lucky, but

was in the booth a few times and that

was cool enough for me. Ahh the good old

days. Poor Billy’s was closed for a few

years, and then reopened as a sports bar,

but it was never the same as it was in

the late 70’s and early 80’s.

The Fountain Casino was another hot

spot the music on this mix reminds me of.

This was a huge club with the most killer

sound and light system I had ever seen to

that point in my life.
